Lovely weather here today in Harbor Oregon, a trip to the beach netted me a
few shells and a pair of BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS and a WREN TIT.
At the port I saw many WESTERN GULLS, GLAUCOUS WINGED GULLS, some COMMON
LOONS, SURF SCOTERS, WESTERN GREBES, a GBH, BREWERS BLACKBIRD'S and a
number of CROWS.

At home were the 'usual suspects' but fewer than earlier, WHITE-CROWNED,
FOX, SONG, WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS, HOUSE FINCHES, HOSP, "OREGON" & "SLATE"
JUNCOS,BLACK PHEOBE, ECD, SCRUB & STELLERS JAY,CHESTNUT-BACKED & BLACK
CAPPED CHICKADEES, ROBINS, ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRDS and since this sunday, six
very unlucky STARLINGS found my nice big nest box trap irrisistable.

That leaves more nesting holes for our native birds and the HOSP's are also
now checking out my nestboxes.

I have nest-box insert traps for them if they get too comfortable in my
nestboxes for swallows.

Sheila from sunny for now, Harbor OR.
