It was a gorgeous day to visit the Seal Rock Stable on South Beaver
Creek Road to look for the probable Trumpeter Swan.

IMHO it looks fine for a Trumpeter Swan. Digiscoped photos were taken
showing the facial pattern and have been forwarded to the appropriate
recording-keeping folks.

The private road into Seal Cove Stables bisects the flooded pasture/
wetland area, with the larger expanse of water on the south side. The
swan was in the smaller northern "pond". It took a while to find it
as it was up against the near edge of the water obscured by tall
vegetation. Eventually it raised its head multiple times and see the
head well.

Other birds of note seen at this location included:

Tree Swallow - 1
Eurasian Wigeon - 1 male

With the sun shining Marsh Wrens and Red-winged Blackbirds were
singing away.

To repeat the directions:

From Hwy 101 at Ona Beach State Park, turn east onto Beaver Creek
Road, drive to the junction and turn right on South Beaver Creek
Road. The stables are at about milepost 1.6.
