[obol] Christmas Valley Raptor Survey

I drove the Christmas Valley Raptor Survey Route today (2/18) under clear skies, calm winds, and temps. between 29 and 48 degrees F.  I drove 80 miles in 4 1/2 hours.  It took less time today because there were not many birds to ID.  Not many raptors, but there were lots of other critters which included 18 Mule deer, 169 Pronghorns (2 flocks), 3 E. Collard Doves, 4 Coyotes, 6 species of ducks and geese,  88 Common Ravens, and 25 Sage Grouse.

Raptors Counted;
23    Red-tailed Hawks
  1     Bald Eagle 9Adult)
  7    Golden Eagles
  8    Rough-legged Hawks
  2    Ferruginous Hawks
  1    Unidentified Buteo
  2    Prairie Falcons

I saw an additional 25 raptors in the basin outside my route.
