[obol] Common Redpoll in Baker City

Hi Birders,

It is snowing in Baker City this morning so the birds are thick at my
feeders.  A unique looking bird with a black chin was maintaining a
place on the thistle feeder with the siskins and gold finches. Upon
closer inspection I saw the red cap and knew it was a redpoll.
Sibleys helped confirm a Common Redpoll--the ftrst for me. It has run
off twice for various reasons, including the arrival of a horde of
red-wings and my trying to get a picture. I haven't seen it for a half
hour or more, but will try again for a better picture if it comes
back.
