Amidst the orchestra of bird chatter I tried to quietly take a picture of my new friend, a male Anna's Hummingbird, on a backyard feeder when two Mourning Doves came and joined in to our soirée. Before I could get a shot of the Doves, they all flew away and I was left in utter silence. I looked up and saw a Bald Eagle circling high above. I didn't think Bald Eagles feasted on other birds, so why the silence? After spotting two Red-Tailed Hawks last week in my neighborhood and a Bald Eagle this week, it makes me wish I could take a steady photo (with or without a telephoto lens)! J
It certainly turned out to be a beautiful day. I had to share.
