WE did the Feb. run on the 10th and it was very dismal. Time- 1:00 -4:30 pm Temp.52 degrees, hazy sunshineand light winds. There was no snow on the ground for 20 miles of the run and from 2 - 12 inches on the rest.

Other birds seen:
Raven- less than10
Canada Geese- lots to many to count
Blackbirds- Redwinged and Brewers
Starlings
Ass'ted Ducks - fewer than last mon.
1 Mountain Bluebird

Since then our weather has moderated and we are seeing more Spring birds. At the house we have had Am Robins, Killdeer, Meadowlarks, Redwing blackbirds in increasing numbers, along with the resident Darkeyed Juncos and Chipping Sparrows. The Horned Larks are still up the driveway but expect them back any day. The young Redtail hawk that tried to nest last year is back checking out all the tall poles especially the one with the nest remnants. On our trips to Burns we have seen 1 Eagle in 2 trips. Nothing on the trip to McDermitt,Nv. On our last trip to Boise Id.(27 Feb.) we did see a few raptors. This the basic run without the side trips.
