I have used a straight scope for 40+ yrs. But when I upgraded to a
Swarovski a few years ago I went with angled. It has taken awhile to get
the hang of it, picking the birds up is a challenge at first. I was having
seconds thoughts but I stuck with it. Over time it will get it easier. I
concur with Wink it's a real plus for car windows being able to turn it. If
you're with someone that's a little shorter most times you can get away with
just turning the scope. Sometimes you need to have the scope high like a
straight scope to see over something or look down on something, being able
to turn it makes it very versatile. Try Digiscoping Lewis Woodpecker in
the top of pine tree that your standing by, its a big plus that you don't
have to lay on the ground to see it with a straight or get a very tall
tripod.
