I am still getting both RUFOUS and ANNA's hb in my yard as well as the BLACK HEADED GROSBEAK, good numbers of AMERICAN GOLDFINCH and HOUSE FINCH.

I was dismayed to look out my window the other morning and see a WESTERN SCRUB JAY dive bomb my feeder, spooking the AMERICAN GOLDFINCH, one of which ran into the window, the W. SCRUB JAY then picked up the stunned A. GOLDFINCH and flew off with it, before I could chase it off. Is this common W. SCRUB JAY behavior?

My only backyard birds are western Scrub Jays, Crows, & American Goldfinches. I am only getting singles of the Goldfinches.

Pretty quite here in Santa Clara.

The only interesting birds I am getting in my back yard these days are male and female BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAKS. I assume they are nesting nearby and I look forward to seeing some chicks soon. This is the first year I have seen them stick around.
I wonder where the hummingbirds are. I've seen none in my yard.
