The mudflats past the parking area at Bayocean Spit hosted about 25 WHIMBREL, 1 MARBLED GODWIT and flock of about 150 WESTERN SANDPIPERS. Six DOWITCHERS also flew by. Also had an additional flock of six WHIMBRELS fly by on the ocean side. Let the migration begin! David Mandell Portland, OR
