[obol] Valley Bluebird

Today when walking into church I noted an adult male WESTERN BLUEBIRD right on the overhang to the entrance. This would be fairly rare if it was in the winter, but in the middle of summer I find it very strange, since my church is in South Salem. Finding a bluebird anywhere in the central part of the Willamette Valley in mid summer is quite hard to do since the starlings kicked them out of breeding sites upon their arrival some years ago. Seems like they only breed up in the Coast Range and foot hills to the Cascades now. Does anyone see Western Bluebirds in the lowest parts of the valley in mid summer anymore?
