The Wednesday birders from Eugene went to the Delta Ponds north of Valley River Center shopping mall. After hearing or seeing about twenty species from the parking lot, we walked the loop north along the river then over to the Delta Ponds proper east of Goodpasture Road. The birding quieted after 10:00. We had good sightings of Western Pond Turtles, Blue Dashers and Widow Skimmers. 38 species of birds were seen by Kit Larson, Tom Mickel, Fred Chancey, George Grier, Sylvia Maulding, Paul Sherrell and Dennis Arendt.
