Dear Oregon Birders,

I just wanted to extend a big "Thank You" to all of the Oregon birders that offered their help in our endeavor to see owls in Oregon. We have just returned from a wonderful vacation in which my family and my daughter in particular was able to see two Great Horned Owls, a family of 3 Western Screech-Owls and a family of 3 Spotted Owls. What a rush it all was! Thanks again for all of your help and if anyone is ever headed down to Texas, feel free to drop us a line.

  Dear Oregon Birders,

My family and I will be vacationing in Oregon for two weeks starting June 29th. My 11-year old daughter has taken an interest in birding, specifically in owls. She would love to see any owl (has seen Barn, Eastern Screech and Burrowing), but is particularly interested in Spotted Owl, Northern Saw-whet Owl and Northern Pygmy Owl. I realize that owls are not easy to find, so any tips and help that you could give us in looking for them would be greatly appreciated. We plan to spend time along the coast and in the Cascades, but are pretty flexible as far as actual travel plans.

  Thanks for your help,
  Noreen Baker
