[obol] Quail

While at Booth-Kelly pond in Springfield today I saw the usual two BLACK PHOEBE's and three CALIFORNIA QUAIL (one was a chick, another a female) who quickly ran for cover.

I have checked frequently but have not seen any BLACK PHOEBE  juveniles.

I saw one PHOEBE catch a pretty good size butterfly (?). It took about a minute for the bird to finally swallow the butterfly head first.
