THIS MESSAGE FORWARDED FROM BOB ALTMAN:

Ash-throated Flycatcher still on Tub Rub Road at the house at the 90
degree bend in the road on Sat morning. That makes it about a week at
least at this spot, but did not see a second bird.

Brewer’s Sparrows are back at Belts Road. Heard and saw one near the
road and then heard another singing farther back off road.

[Tub Run and Belts Rds. are SW of Brownsville in Linn Co.]

In the past three days I have had singing Hermit Thrushes (presumably
nesting or attempting to nest at this time of year) at two private land
sites in the margins of the Willamette Valley outside Eugene in places
where I have not had them in past years. Wonder if high snow levels and
weather in mountains has pushed some birds further down the slopes to
seek nesting opportunities this year.
