Columbia Estuary Report - 6/2/2008

A single TUNDRA SWAN, still sporting some pink on its bill,
was with 2 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE and CANADA GEESE at
the Astoria Airport. A white domestic goose is trying to
pass itself off as something more interesting in the Wireless
Rd goose flock which also included 2 very tiny CACKLING
GEESE. WHIMBREL continue in the newly tilled pastures as
well.

A WESTERN KINGBIRD has been at Wireless Rd for at least the
last 2 days.

A juvenile RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD was mist-netted Saturday, right
on schedule. A juvenile AMERICAN ROBIN was being fed by parents
at Surfpines.
