Hello all,

Highlights of a mid day trip to Finley Wildlife Refuge south of
Corvallis on Friday:

On the Homer Campbell boardwalk east side:
Cassin's vireo
An adult and juvenile Bald eagle flying over Cabell Marsh

On the display pond near Mill Hill trailhead:
A pied billed grebe female and 3 chicks.

On the road to the red barn north of Bruce Road:
A large brown bird flew up out of a dry grass field. Saw it from the
back and thought it was a hawk at first but it was trailing long yellow
legs!
Flushed again and saw that it was a nice Amer. Bittern.
On the pond just below the barn - two cinnamon teal.

Backyard birds this Sunday, early Monday morning.

Heard the Quick 3 Beers! of an olive-sided flycatcher both Sat. and Sun.
in SW Corvallis.
Also heard the first backyard Wilson's warbler of the season.
