OBOL:

This weekend Carol and I were treated to 2-3 over-the-top beautiful scenes:
A cluster of bright red-and-yellow Red-hot Poker plants, festooned with
yellow-and-burnt-orange CEDAR WAXWINGS. The birds were clinging to the
stems and feeding on the yellow flowers at the bottom of each flowering
spike. The birds faces were yellow with pollen. The whole scene was
spectacular!

Locations:
Ballston Rd., S of Sheridan
Corner of Finn & Webfoot Rds, N. of Hopewell
Kings Valley (reported by the owner of the store)

Check out your local patch of Red-hot Pokers.

Good birding, everyone,

Paul T. Sullivan
