Jim,

Thanks a ton for dealing with all these OBOL issues, there aren't enough
words of graditude for folks like you who take on these unthankful jobs.

With that said, I have watched bemusedly over the past month or so the
effects of the change of OBOL.

To the folks that helped to instigate the change from one listserver to
another: thank yourself, seems like things were working just fine, and
since, it seems like things have been hectic at times, absurd at times,
and frustrating at times.

To the folks who simply refuse to read the instructions: there are
reasons for instructions, one is for you to understand how things work,
two is to avoid annoying those of of us who know how things work and
don't care to continually get your messages of help. Learn to read,
then read the instructions, they really really help.

To the folks who sign up for OBOL and then make a claim that it is
spam: please pull your head out of the sand. Then read the
instructions or at a minimum get an understanding of how listservers
work. You cannot possibly be receiving OBOL emails without actually
signing up first. YOU signed up. You have the responsibility to sign
off if you don't like it. If you don't read the instructions, and get
an understanding of some basic computer technology, then maybe you
should reconsider the investment made in the computer and stop using
it. But, if you have an understanding of how to report to AOL what is
spam, then you are more than intelligent enough to understand the
instructions of OBOL and get yourself removed from the list. It is NOT
AOL's problem, so stop reporting it them, and it is NOT OBOL's problem,
so stop reporting it to OBOL or Jim.

My apologies for the rant, but I have had it with the lack of some
REALLY simple understanding and refusal to READ the INSTRUCTIONS!!!!!!!

My guess now is that my email won't make a darn bit of difference. But
it sure did make me feel better.

Cheers
Dave Lauten
