I've been an ABA and OFO member for as long as I've been a birder. Sometimes I submit my life list (online--very simple) and sometimes I don't. Of course, my position on a list has nothing at all to do with my birding skill or ability relative to others who have listed (or not). Listing is just a game, nothing more.
