[obol] Band-tailed Pigeons and thistle seed

This morning, my band-tailed pigeon flock has grown to 30+.

I noticed that several of the birds lack the white collar.  I assume 
these are this year's fledglings?

Secondly, is anyone else having a problem buying thistle seed?  The feed 
store says they cannot get it and if they did, 40 pounds is now $75.00.  
What is going on?
