Obol,
On Tuesday I found an ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER at Fall Creek Reservoir,
Lane County. The bird was found in the ponds below the spillway of the
dam. To get to this location take Big Fall Cr Rd (from Jasper-lowell Rd via
Hwy 58) east towards the dam. You will pass by a covered bridge and small
weigh station. With in a mile is a large pull out to the north (left hand
side of rd). You can park there and walk back across the street towards an
Osprey nest at the intersection of Big Fall Creek Rd and Winberry Creek Rd.
Follow the old river path, now a marsh, east towards the spillway. You will
pass several bird boxes before reaching the second small pond in the marshy
area just below the dam. This is where the bird was found.
