Wow, incredible! It was an adult Dave, right? I looked at my records and noticed you had an adult on 7 July 2003 on the north spit of Coos Bay, one of two records of adults for Oregon. As far as I know all August and September records are of juveniles. This has got to be the earliest southbound record or the earliest non-breeder or the earliest whatever. Mid-August is normally considered "early" for juvies.
Pretty cool!
