The swarms are here!

There are swarms of RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRDS fighting over the feeder and one
lone ALLEN'S HUMMINGBIRD!, the poor male ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD hasn't a chance
to protect "his" feeder from the hordes - but he tries.

Also new this week I heard the song of a RED-WINGED BLACKBIRD and a small
flock of GEESE.

The BAND-TAILED PIGEONS are starting to trickle in and the "usual suspects"
are thinning out.
They are as usual FOX, WHITE-CROWN, GOLD-CROWN, WHITE-THROATED, SONG and
LINCOLIN SPARROWS, HOUSE FINCHES a PURPLE FINCH, AMERICAN ROBINS, FLICKERS,
BLACK CAPPED and CHESTNUT-BACKED CHICKADEES, BREWERS BLACKBIRDS.

Overhead fly the occasional CROW and RAVEN, plus WESTERN GULLS.

Another warning for you STARLING lovers, don't read any further!!!!!

Two STARLINGS entered my nest box trap today.

Sheila from very wet Harbor Or.
