Nice to hear that the Rufous are back in Eugene.  I put up a second nectar feeder a couple of days ago in anticipation, but haven't seen any yet.  In fact, I didn't see ANY hummers this morning... until I went out on the back deck to move some pots and a male Anna's buzzed me (apparently I was too close to his "territory").

Outside of the winter regulars, a male PURPLE FINCH, seven PINE SISKINS, six Y-R WARBLERS (a record for me), two TOWNSEND'S WARBLERS, and a BROWN CREEPER were at the feeders this morning.  Interestingly, I haven't seen any RC KINGLETS for the past couple of weeks.

As I look out my window here in south Eugene this morning, I see a  
dark sky to the west with a bright rainbow and at the feeder, a  
bright male Rufous Hummingbird. A female Anna's is here as usual as  
are our 4 Townsend's Warblers and 2 Varied Thrushes along with the  
usual assortment of House Finches, juncos, chickadees (Black-capped  
and Chestnut-backed) and Bushtits. Earlier this morning, I went out  
to fill the feeders on the deck (2nd story) and saw 22 Wild Turkeys  
in my yard below and 10 more above me on the roof of the house. On  
occasion, a few will now fly up onto the deck and peck at the spilled  
sunflower seed. Twice I have seen one standing on the deck rail  
pecking at the tube feeder. They peck at the side of the transparent  
tube but have yet to figure out that there is a hole when seeds can  
be obtained.
