[obol] tundra swan addition clarification

In my previous message I should have added that I was in Lane County, Oregon
while traveling on High Pass Rd.  Oregonians know that, but someone reading
in the Balkans may not.

 

I should also add that  American Robins were everywhere today.  Big flocks
feeding in grass seed fields.  I saw one field along Territorial Hwy. that
had been sprayed at some point and was completely brown.  In one area of the
field every square meter had a fresh mole hill.  There were probably three
American Robins per square meter in the part of that field that had the mole
hills.  Some range management “expert” (probably the same genius that came
up with the idea of spraying all the fence rows and scraping clean the
ditches along the road) is going to see that and say to himself, “we have
got to do something about all these birds!”.  Maybe call the navy in to do
some sonar testing?
