[obol] Eugene - Urban Birds

Hi OBOL,

I had some interesting urban bird sightings this
weekend. First, a Killdeer was calling from the roof
of Sweet Life Patisserie this weekend. (8th & Monroe)

Second, a Raven was in the lot next door. It didn't
last long, as the Crows hassled it out of there
quickly. ( A quick look at the bird journal showed
that a Raven was in the same area late last April.)

Last, but by far the coolest was a male Wood Duck in
our neighbor's yard. The neighbor called us Saturday
evening and asked us to make sure he wasn't
hallucinating the duck under his tree! The duck was
walking and bobbing along, doing a soft little
whistle. Unfortunately a car came down the street and
scared it into flight, back towards the river.

Spring has sprung!
