[obol] Cardinals in a cage

Yes I have seen a pair of Cardinals in the same cage back in the 1940's in  a 
pet shop in Eugene on West 11th. just off Willamette St. maybe it was legal  
then. I know in Mexico they can and do trap and sell wild birds and a friend 
and  old neighbor of mine who now lives and works in Mexico City was back in 
Eugene  visiting his mother told me he wanted to get a Audubon Society started 
in Mexico  to put a stop to it even though he has a pet Elf Owl that he showed 
me a picture  of. Birds do get caught in high strong winds and blow way out of 
their range. I  don't know if a cardinal would ever fly up high enough to get 
blown to Oregon  but I think the chance is very slim.
