My husband and took the canoe out on the pond and discovered that the 
fish the female caught and dropped after two mashings was a catfish!  We 
didn't know they were in the pond.  Thought it was just our koi and 
offspring.

Would a hoodie not eat a catfish because of some chemical they exude, or 
was it bigger than she wanted to deal with?  It was about six inches 
long, but had a big head, probably bigger than her throat.

I know nothing whatsoever about catfish, except I like to eat them!
