[obol] archives

Hi all,
Regarding OBOL archives, my understanding is that the pre-Dec 2001 data are
largely gone, unless Greg Gillson or some previous OBOL participants saved
the monthly archives. They are not on OSU computer space any longer.

If you want to keep the archives, you should probably get them soon. OSU
will not be saving more than 3 years of archives at a time any longer. Right
now, files go to Dec 2001 with a couple odd months prior to that date.

To view archives, go to the lists.oregonstate.edu page, enter obol in the
box near the bottom of the page and click Go to List button. It will take
you to the page with enter Archives as a link at the top. Click it and you
can see all the archives. If you want, you can even download an entire
month's file and use your computer search or find function to track down
particular species, etc.
