[obol] American Dipper nest, Sweet Creek, Lane County

My wife and I hiked along Sweet Creek Falls Trail yesterday (28 March  
2008) and saw a pair of American Dippers in Sweet Creek.  We watched  
them going into a hole in a moss covered cliff.  Each time they went  
into the hole they had food in their bills and and a raucous cheeping  
sound greeted them.  Is this early for breeding?

Location: Lane County Oregon, near Mapleton.
