Wink,
House Sparrow is not a possibility at all. There are known junco x
zonotrichia hybrids, but not such an unrelated genus. To me it looks like
it might have some "pink-sided" blood in it and the brighter red back might
indicate some "gray-headed" in the past. Overall with the exception of the
pale coloration to some of the feathers (which look close to normal from a
different angle) it looks like a typical junco. I might pass them around to
some of my fellow juncophiles around the country to get some additional
comments. Thanks for sharing this.
