[obol] Harney County Birds

Hi everyone,

I just got back last night from camping at Page Springs for the week (brrr!) and birding the Malheur NWR area.  Birding was a little slower than I expected given the time of year but there were a few nice surprises.  Best birds were a male Eurasian Wigeon on the refuge west of Harney Lake along 00 Rd and two "Blue" geese just south of Burns on Hotchkiss.  While they definately have some Ross's Goose in them, my best guess at the moment is that these two birds are both Ross's x Snow Goose hybrids but will form a stronger opinion after I get a chance to look more closely at the photos and available information.  I should have the photos up on my website sometime next week for others if they are interested.
