Now that shell season is past, it's time to do more birding!

At home there were PURPLE FINCHES, TREE, VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS, BREWERS
BLACKBIRDS, COWBIRDS, GOLD-CROWN, WHITE-CROWN, HOUSE and SONG SPARROWS,
HOUSE FINCHES, ORANGE CROWN WARBLERS, BLACK CAPPED & CHESTNUT-BACKED
CHICKADEES, MORNING DOVES, ECD, BAND-TAILED PIGEONS, ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD,
AMERICAN GOLD FINCHES.

Peparing their nests are the VIOLET-GREEN, TREE SWALLOWS and CHESTNUT BACKED
CHICKADEES plus one deluded HOSP who I will not let nest here.

Driving down Oceanview drive I saw BARN SWALLOWS, TREE-SWALLOWS, BLACK
PHEOBE, DOWNY WOODPECKER(heard), WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS, ROBIN, CROWS,
CALIFORNIA QUAIL(heard) and a hunting GBH.

A parked grader blocked access to McVay wayside.

At Winchuck river wayside I saw and/or heard a WILSONS WARBLER,CALIFORNIA
QUAIL, CEDAR WAXWINGS, CROWS, RAVENS, PURPLE FINCH, in the ocean was seen a
flock of WESTERN GREBES and WESTERN GULLS.

In the air over the Winchuck was a great swirl of VAUXES SWIFTS and
TREE-SWALLOWS.

Up the Winchuck river was a TURKEY VULTURE on top of a dead cow, flocks of
BANK SWALLOWS gathering mud for their nests, TREE-SWALLOWS, BARN SWALLOWS,
RED WINGED BLACKBIRD, a CROW being chased by some RED-WINGED BLACKBIRDS,
STELLERS JAY, a female MALLARD and a flock of little ones.
