New River- SW Coos coast, early AM, cloudy, 40-50's,
wind light:

Shorebird movement was very sluggish- all peeps and
maybe a few hundred an hour max. After Lois Miller's
photos of the 1,000 or so Whimbrel at Terry Wahl's
ranch yesterday, I was expecting to see more birds
today. Maybe this weekend??

New birds for my point count season were: WARBLING
VIREO(one), WILSON'S WARBLER(several), and a
BAND-TAILED PIGEON. Also saw a single male WESTERN
TANAGER flit by while going through Bandon. Bandon
Marsh was also slow- maybe 1,000 peeps and 2 BB
Plovers.

That's it for this morning!
Merry migration,
Tim R
