[obol] OFF TOPIC - Help needed with move to Corvallis area

Hi everyone,
   
  well, after almost 2 1/2 years my partner Oscar, our 3 very well-behaved indoor cats and I are back in Oregon! However, we've run into a bit of a problem. The place we thought we had lined up to move into fell through at the last minute, and we are now stuck in a motel in Corvallis, with rapidly dwindling funds. The housing market looks rather bleak at the moment (especially considering our somewhat unorthodox household composition), so I thought I'd pick the collective brains of the list to see if anyone out there knows about any affordable place in the Corvallis area where two guys and 3 indoor cats could move into.
   
  We'd also appreciate any temporary solution to get us out of the motel while we continue to look for a place.
   
  I will be working in the mountains of Central Nevada from late May until early July, so we really need a place for the rest of the family by then. 
   
  I would not normally use OBOL or the Midvalley list for my private purposes, but we are running out of ideas and I appreciate any input from you folks. Since we do not have a telephone yet, please respond by e-mail.
   
  Thanks for indulging me, and it is good to be back (although I haven't really had time to go birding yet).
