[obol] Solitary sandpiper

I am posting for Linda Fink she has had to unsubscribe as she was 
getting both digest  and OBOL and couldn't stop it.


A Solitary Sandpiper was standing on a log in our Ash swamp today, 
jerking his head up and down and constantly peeping in a high-pitched 
voice. It had a complete white eye ring and darkish legs, otherwise 
rather plain -- until it flew and showed the nicely barred tail, no 
white in wings. This is the first Solitary Sandpiper I've seen on our 
farm. "Yard" bird #135. Ain't migration wonderful?
