This afternoon (5:30) we found the PLUMBEOUS VIREO on the east trail. This is close to where we saw it on Tuesday morning. The bird was on the east trail just below the brushy area that we call "Flycatcher Corner" (which is located to the south-east of the Harvey Scott statue at the top). We watched it there for at least 15 minutes. Nearby was at least one BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK (FOY). Above the south (smallest) reservoir were 3 Chipping Sparrows (we had at least 4 in the nursery yesterday!). In the same area was a male CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRD. There were many Golden-crowned and White-crowned Sparrows. The south side of the park was very active. We saw a 3 Cassin's Vireos, a Nashville Warbler, a Western Tanager and the regular warblers and flycatchers.
