A newly-arrived BULLOCK'S ORIOLE serenaded me this afternoon as I
established some additional species of native plants in my wildflower
garden.

A CHIPPING SPARROW was present, and singing.

A CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRD visited my feeder in the early afternoon.

Male and female BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAKS visited the feeder area in the morning.

A small group of GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROWS continues to dine on the
ground. I have found that they like cracked corn, so I include it in
the tin of seed that I spread around each day.
