[obol] "Portland CBC in May" Birdathon

John Fitchen, Andy Frank, Iain Tomlinson, Chris Warren and I ran
an informal Birdathon on Saturday, May 3.  We constrained ourselves
to the Portland Christmas Bird Count circle.  In fact, we stayed
within the Portland city limits.

Starting at Mt Tabor at 6:30AM, we continued on to Cascade Station,
Broughton Beach, Smith-Bybee, Vanport Wetlands, Oaks Bottom, Pittock
Mansion, and points in-between, finishing about 5:30PM.  We tallied
100 species (plus Andy picked up Purple Finch and Western Screech-owl
later on his own).  Andy has entered the complete list on Birdnotes.
