While unloading from the day's work this evening, I heard our nearby Hermit Thrush singing.  Though we've not yet heard any here at 
home, just for the heck of it, I imitated the quick rising whistle of a SWAINSON'S THRUSH, and was immediately rewarded by 3 
different birds responding.

Maybe these birds have been here for a while, but haven't yet become vocal?  I imagine we'll all be hearing lots of them in the next 
couple days.
