This morning I had eleven BAND-TAILED PIGEONS competing with four or 
five STELLAR'S JAYS and six or seven male BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAKS for 
space on the feeder.

It is hard to keep track of all the jays and grosbeaks while watching 
pigeons falling off the feeder!  The female grosbeaks seem to prefer 
fighting with the purple finches for  space on the sunflower feeder.
