[obol] Western Tanagers & mason bees

In my Hillsboro yard, I too have had lots of Western Tanagers this  
year, as well as high numbers of other migrants.   One curious thing  
has been going on here.    I have a mason bee colony that I keep  
under the eaves of my house, and I noticed that several times when I  
would walk around the corner, I would scare up a Tanager from the  
general area of my mason bees.     I never thought much about it, but  
today I just noticed that I have NO mason bees left.    I suspect  
that the Western Tanagers have completely consumed my bees!   I have  
to say that I never actually saw one eating a bee, but I think it is  
probably more than a coincidence that they were hanging out  around  
the colony.
