On 3 May 2008, I observed a PINE SISKIN gathering nesting material on
the south slope of Mt. Tabor.

The Oregon Breeding Bird Atlas CD lists two records for the hexagon
that includes Mt. Tabor (hexagon 26640): "nest building" behavior
(code = NB) observed by Ray Korpi on 21 April 1996 and a 1995
observation by James Johnson of Pine Siskins being present during
breeding season (code = X/X). Hexagon 26640 includes other
potentially suitable habitat, so it is not clear to me where within
hexagon 26640 these observations occurred.

A photo of what I observed is online at: http://www.westerngrebe.com/PISI/
