A female birder in Portland wants to go on the SEP 28 cruise that goes from
Vancouver, BC to Los Angeles  (three nights on the ship).  She needs a
female roommate however since a single room costs about twice as much per
person as the per person rate for a shared room.  So...if a female birder is
in a similar situation and would share a room, email me and I will put the
two of you in contact.

By the way, I have abandoned efforts to get a bus to get to Vancouver, since
the cost has gone up greatly since last fall, while the cost of flying there
has inexplicably fallen.  There are currently flights available through
Alaska Airlines as low as $114.00, including taxes.  Transfers to and from
airports and the ship are priced at $20.00 eqch.

The total cost for a person in a shared room is about $550.00 including
everything (transportation to Vancouver and from LA, the cruise, tips and
taxes).

(I always forget about this...which has resulted in thrown away money.  If
you haven't gone a cruise by Princess Cruise Line you can get a referral
from someone who has (such as me) and get a $25.00 break - and the referring
person gets a similar reward.  No big deal - but its free money.)
